"Bristol based The Desert first came to the attention of the world with their hauntingly beautiful debut single Just Get High in June last year. Picking up plays on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and Radio X, Gina Leonard’s vocals & lyrics, that are both immediate and gripping, and Tom Fyrer’s atmospheric & detailed production won them many plaudits.

Further singles and an EP followed before the band turned their attention to writing and recording new material which will be released this autumn.

Since the release of their Playing Dead EP, the line up has also expanded, with Ryan Rogers (bass) and Jonny Parry (drums, electronics) joining the band."
