Rare Breed are an original Blues, Soul & Rock n Roll band based in Mossley, Greater Manchester who have developed a reputation as a fantastic live band playing venues and festivals across the North of England. Founded out of the North West Blues and Rock Scene by Adam Brooke (Vocals/Guitar) and Oliver Sergeant (Drums) they teamed up with Arty Haire (Bass) in 2024 when he coincidentally moved into the house next door.
Akin to power blues rock trios such as ZZ Top, Taste & Robin Trower the band fuels blues, southern and classic rock sounds into their music. These can be heard on their debut track ‘English Rose’ released in early 2025 as well as their most recent single ‘Pieces’ which won Radio Wigwam’s Track of the week. Their latest single ‘Good Times’ was released in December 2025.Their self-title debut album was released in May 2026 with band-assist.com stating "Rare Breed have managed to create something that feels classic without being dated". The album was launched at a packed out show at the Blossoms, Stockport.
In 2025 the band opened the Bludsucker stage at Firevolt Festival, becoming the first band to play on the new stage. They have also performed at SOS Festival, Stockport Blues and Roots Festival, Whittles Bluesday Festivals, The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival and many more.According to DJ Paul Cash of Pure Rock Fury, Rare Breed play "Raw, soulful, bluesy rock that grooves" whilst Devolution Magazine believe "The future of rock is assured with the likes of Rare Breed on the scene."Currently working with Guild Productions, 2026 is proving to be a busy and fruitful year for the band. Not so bad for a little old blues band from the sticks...
