Due to a severe lack of advance ticket buying, Red Pen Promotions have been left with no alternative than to POSTPONE MOUNTAINS OF METAL 2026 to a later date in the year that is yet to be confirmed and announced. This is why we ask you to buy tickets well in advance and not leave it until last minute. We have no crystal balls and have costs to meet regardless. We will still be having the following bands on the bill unless anything changes in the foreseeable future: Family of Addiction / Sour Tusk / Dr.Savage / Bright Black / The Last Bastion / Master Charger. Echoes of Obsidian have sadly had to pull out of the event due to band members having many other engagements later in the year but we are planning to add another band higher up the bill to compensate.

After originally announcing our forthcoming Steel City Progfest with numerous acts, Red Pen Promotions are now proud to reveal that our headliner is none other than the World Class Legendary Sheffield Prog band of the last few decades HAZE, They featuring the multi-instrumental founder brothers, , Chris & Paul McMahon with fabulous vocal pipes to match and to be honest need no introduction to any of you out in Progland and beyond! Also on the bill are The Tirith, Almamor, Bovidae, Ptarmigan & May Days In Barcelona. We have something for everyone here - we know you are going to have a fabulous 8 hours of Prog with a few other musical elements thrown in for good measures.
