Sarah and the Safe Word is a six-piece cabaret rock band from Atlanta, comprised of Sarah Rose (vocals), Kienan Dietrich (guitar, vocals), Susy Reyes (violin, vocals), Beth Ballinger (keys, vocals), Maddox Reksten (bass, vocals), and Carlos Gonzalez (percussion, vocals).

Since forming in 2015, they've kept themselves busy — being personally requested to join the lineup of the 2017 Vans Warped Tour by founder Kevin Lyman, making a cameo appearance on the CW's The Originals (playing a queer werewolf-witch wedding, no less!), gaining "Debut of the Year" praise from Alternative Press, embarking on several national tours around America, and signing to Take This To Heart Records in 2019.

Their 2020 album Good Gracious! Bad People has been streamed over 10 million times on Spotify. Their newest album The Book of Broken Glass, released April 2023, features collaborations from Danbert Nobacon of Chumbawamba and Dog Park Dissidents.
