When we arrive at The Principality Stadium we will head inside for the tour. After this, you are free to spend the afternoon in Cardiff!

We’ll leave Cardiff at 5:00pm, so we expect be back in Swansea by 6:15pm*

Description: For this GO! Trip we have got something really special lined up – a tour of Wales’s iconic Principality Stadium (formerly The Millennium Stadium). It’s a private tour just for us giving you behind-the-scenes access to the heart of this amazing place!

Located in the heart of Cardiff, it’s the home of the Welsh Rugby and has hosted many events including Rugby World Cup Finals, Olympic events, UEFA Champions League, Rally Championships, boxing, cricket and more. It also hosts concerts and events too. The stadium has a moveable roof, so it can be used whatever the Welsh weather!

During the tour we’ll visit the stands, have a chance to walk the pitch and absorb the atmosphere of the stadium. We’ll then have access to all those places that are usually off-limits. This includes the Home and Away dressing rooms, the Ray Gravell Press Conference room, the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) Presidential suite and more.

We’ll be accompanied by WRU staff who will guide you and give you information, as well as answering any questions you might have. You might have noticed that Rugby is quite important to the Welsh, and the stadium is the beating heart of the game – even if you aren’t a fan of sport, this is a must-see!

After the tour, which takes around 75 minutes, you’ll have free time to explore Cardiff sitry centre, shop, eat, drink, take in the museums and other cultural activities – whatever takes your fancy! We’ll send you some info too about things to do.

We hope to see you there, if you have any questions just email gosocial@swansea.ac.uk
