Yellow Arch is proud to be hosting a benefit show for The Lughole.
The Lughole is a volunteer run, not for profit DIY space in Sheffield, UK. A collective went out and (eventually) found a building, pooled their personal finances, recruited other like minded individuals and set to it. After a couple of months hard work getting set up, the Lughole opened its doors on new years eve 2013. It went from strength to strength, attracting bands from all over the world, countless different genres and people from all walks of life. If you have ever spoken to one of the collective then you will know the passion, enthusiasm and hundreds and hundreds of hours they have poured into the place so that our community can have a space in which to thrive and grow.
In 2018, Lughole was forced to close. Since that date they have been looking for a new home and found a new building in the Kelham Island area at the beginning of 2019.
A Go Fund Me was created to raise funds to help convert the site into a venue, and along with a strong uptake with people volunteering their time and effort, the site is starting to take shape. However, there's still a lot to do and we are proud to be hosting a benefit show to help continue raising funds to enable work to be finished and allow the Lughole guys to do what they do best - bringing excellent acts to Sheffield.
