We’re delighted to bring to Sheffield a brilliant new band from Liverpool, Green Tangerines. Mixing urgent grooves, brass riffs and an energetic sax/trumpet frontline, the five members of Green Tangerines draw inspiration from 70s jazz fusion and the likes of the Brecker Brothers, John Scofield, and Chick Corea.
Formed in 2017 they feature saxophonist and vocalist Sarah Sands, trumpet player Sam Taylor, guitarist Jack O’Hanlon, bassist Fran Mills and drummer Tom Hudson, they’ve been taking their music further afield and have featured in a live session on BBC Radio Ulster, as well as appearances at The Band on the Wall in Manchester, and as support to Shaun Martin (Snarky Puppy, Kirk Franklin) in collaboration with Liverpool’s Parrjazz.
