GO! Trip - Cardiff Bay

Date: Thursday 27th May 2021

Time: 9.45am to approx. 8pm (or a return time of your choice)

Transport Information: Travel by train from Swansea Central Station to Cardiff Bay Station

Description: Join International@CampusLife staff on a very relaxed GO! Trip from Swansea to Cardiff Bay by train.

As lockdown measures ease in Wales we can now start to get out and about a bit more. Hurrah! We can start to explore the area and build up our network of friends. Why not join our group to help you do both of these?

We will meet at Swansea train station on the morning of Thursday 27th May in time to buy our tickets and get the 10:22am Train to Cardiff Bay (we recommend you get there at least half an hour early, especially if you hope to buy a coffee or other refreshments for the train, as we won’t be able to wait for latecomers. CampusLife Team Members will be available from 9:45am).

Once at the Bay, you are welcome to join us in walking across the fabulous Cardiff Bay Barrage across the sea to Penarth - maybe choosing to undertake the wonderful Bay Trail Circular, which includes many of the sights of the Bay: Cardiff Bay Circle Trail (opens in new window)

You will be free to visit the shops, restaurants, galleries and anything else that you want to visit.

Choose your own time to come home (last train 22:06) or come back with some of the ICL team on the 18:06.

Please note: You will need to purchase your own train ticket, we recommend an Anytime Return at £12.80 - this will let you travel on any train. We will be available to assist you in purchasing your ticket at the station.

Additional Information:

Conduct: You are responsible for your own behaviour and time keeping. Please take reasonable care of your own and other people's health and safety.

If you have any concerns or questions please contact us at the earliest opportunity and we will do all we can to assist.

Children: Children (aged 3 and over) are welcome on this trip and must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Please be advised that their safety and well-being is the responsibility of their accompanying adult at all times. Children under 5 travel free, children aged 5-15 will require a ticket at a discounted cost of £6.40

We will use your data to produce internal statistics but will not share it with third parties or use it for marketing purposes. Your information will be provided to our trip leader on the day of the trip for the purpose of attendance monitoring and emergency situations. The information will be kept confidential and passed back to ICL and destroyed on return from the trip (once we have passed the legally required COVID-19 Track & Trace period).
