Amy Corcoran plus support - Thursday 27th November 2025 | Sunbird Records, Darwen

Sunbird Records presents Amy Corcoran plus support.

We are delighted to be hosting this show as part of Amy's tour to celebrate the release her debut album 'The Bryan Adams Railway Bridge'

Amy Corcoran is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Bolton who writes folk songs based on real life stories set in her home town. Her sharp wit and gift for finding beauty and humour in the everyday and the mundane have earned her comparisons to Victoria Wood and Jake Thackray.

Hailed as "a bright up and coming future star" by Ron Armitage of Bolton FM's The Folk Show, Amy's songs blend simple musical hooks with honest and relatable lyrics. The highs and lows of friendships and dating disappointments are major themes in her work, with songs such as Frenemy, I'm Not That Bothered Anymore, and I Left My Bloke In A Museum becoming audience favourites.

Amy began her singing career in the late 2010s as a street performer. An avid fan of the Golden Oldies, she decided to perform '50s and '60s songs for passersby on the streets of Wigan, Bolton and Bury. An aptitude for connecting with an audience developed, and from these spirited beginnings she crafted Amy's Sixties Jukebox, a one-woman show which has entertained audiences in pubs, restaurants and care homes across the North West.

Often likened to Karen Carpenter and Kirsty McColl, Amy's sonorous voice carries the warmth of a bygone era, and her songwriting is driven by a belief that music should be entertaining and accessible.

This year, Amy has made appearances at Horwich Rox, Tyldesley Music Festival, Bolton Food & Drink Festival, Glaston-BURY Festival, and Wigan Diggers' Bolton Bash. She is also a regular perfomer at Forged in Bolton, a monthly event at Bolton Little Theatre which showcases the best of local musicians and poets.
