It's finally time to reunite under the lights of HAZY the wait is over. SuNKeN returns to launch a brand new season with the Freshers Opening Party, one of the most anticipated events of Sheffield Freshers Week 2026.

Now in its 13th year, SuNKeN has earned its reputation as Sheffield's biggest and most loved Monday student night, and this year promises to be our biggest yet. Expect sell-out crowds, next-level production, and an energy you'll only find in the underground setting of the iconic HAZY.

Featuring top student DJ talent plus a surprise special guest headliner, the Opening Party is your first taste of the madness that takes over HAZY every Monday throughout the semester and a must for any Sheffield fresher's 2026 calendar.

SAMI UK takes centre stage to headline the Opening Party. Now gaining serious momentum, he's turning heads with recent releases "He's Back" and "Rhythm," earning support from Teedee, Omar+, Ellis Garner, Caleb Laurenson, and Cam Stockman — with his unreleased track "Something Beautiful" also picking up support from Rossi and Chris Stussy.

Alongside his growing catalogue, SAMI UK has built a strong reputation behind the decks, playing venues including Newcastle WHQ and XOYO, and headlining a sold-out night at Sheffield's Hazy Club. He's also shared lineups with Kitty Hall, Luuk Van Dijk, and many more.
