SMITH AND LIDDLE

With the release of their anticipated debut album, ‘Songs For The Desert’ released on Hamburg based label ‘Légère Recordings’ which received rave reviews in magazines like Rolling Stone and a successful tour across Europe, Smith & Liddle head out on a UK & German tour alongside their full band stopping at North Shields ‘A Stones Throw Festival’ on 23rd May.

Raised on the sounds of Laurel Canyon and the British Invasion, (Billy) Smith & (Elizabeth) Liddle grew up 25 miles away from each other in small towns but only meet when Billy was on the lookout for a vocalist. The chemistry between the pair was instant, and over time their intertwined musical sensibilities evolved into something unique. With journals filled with lyrics and a treasure trove of musical ideas bubbling, the pair finally entered the studio to create their homage to soft rock, culminating in Songs For The Desert.
