Cardiff Dub Club | Firmly Rooted meets Erb'An Dub

Dubwise Soundsystem Events

Playing the best in authentic Roots, Reggae, Dub & Steppas

We are stepping up the pressure with a massive cross-border link-up!

On Friday 23rd October, we are taking over the Underdog venue in Cardiff city centre once again for a night of Roots & Culture and pure heavyweight bass pressure. We are bringing together a cross-border link-up, bridging the legendary Bristol sound system scene straight back into the Welsh homeland. Two custom sound systems, one arena, and nothing but positive vibrations.

Line-up

• Firmly Rooted Soundsystem: Forwarding straight from Bristol, Firmly Rooted is a soundsystem and record label pushing the finest roots-inspired sounds straight to the people. Fully submerged within the deep Bristol sound system culture for years, their hand-crafted stack is engineered to pure perfection, built strictly to deliver the cleanest, deepest basslines in the land. The owner and sound operator, Jake (aka Supplya), is Bristol-based but actually a Welsh native, so it is a massive honour for Cardiff Dub Club to welcome him back to the homeland to shake the building! Expect a heavyweight selection of modern-day roots, dub, and steppas, performing with a strict focus on a conscious message.
• Erb'An Dub Soundsystem: Your resident crew is holding it down for the Cardiff hometown. The full crew and special guests in attendance with Reuben MC hosting and toasting, wheeling out the ever-growing Erb'an Dub sound system to bring a uplifting vibration and that signature Dub Club energy.

Music

Expect a musical journey from the foundations to the future. We are dropping everything from new and classic Roots Reggae to militant UK Steppas from the first tune until the lights come on. Clean frequencies, custom boxes, and chest-rattling bass are guaranteed.
