It is always a special occasion when Werbeniuk turn up at Toft House. And this time they will have some new material from their imminent new album. The band has a unique sound and they craft rhythmical songs with thoughtful lyrics laced with a deep sense of fun.

Whitby based Phil Martin wanted to launch his new album “Freedom of the City” at Toft House and we are delighted to oblige. The songs on the album are highly original and inventive and feature subtle, yet rich, melodies.

Over his 40 years as a musician, Phil has played with numerous bands both here in the UK and in Europe where he has supported BLUR on the Parklife tour and THE POGUES at Glasgow Barrowlands. Playing solo he has shared the bill with IAN McNABB and NICK LOWE. He currently gigs solo and with THE AGE OF REASON, ROUGH CATS and JET BLAX.

Cheryl Baines, who not so long ago put on an extremely successful fundraiser at Toft House for Child Bereavement UK, completes the line-up.

This will be another evening of highly original music, all for ten quid.
