Autarchy & Black Lemon Two events with the same goal of infusing the Cardiff nightlife with quality music have come together to bring the City world renowned DJ & Producer, Tessela.

Slamming broken beats and a smart sense of rhythm have marked Bristol born DJ and Producer, Tessela out from the crowd. A string of tunes on All City, Punch Drunk and 2nd Drop saw Tessela make his mark in 2012, before landing on R&S and releasing 'Hackney Parrot', on Poly Kicks, a tune picked up by Paul Woolford as Special Request and featured in pretty much every credible end of year list on the planet.In a whirl wind last few years, Tessela (Ed Russell) has burst onto the world wide underground scene with a number of impressive feats. These include performances at highly respected festivals such as Dekmantel, Dimensions & the famous Bloc Weekend. He’s been a regular on Rinse FM creating big links with the Hessle Audio crew along the way, especially with Pearson Sound who he is currently touring North America with.

In the last few months Tessela has performed sets at The Hydra, alongside legends such as Jeff Mills, Robert Hood, Rødhad & James Ruskin; even more recently Ed has graced the decks at arguably the greatest and most exclusive club in the world, The Berghain; this make us just that little bit more excited that he’s joining us in the Capital City.

As well as his skills behind the decks, his production has also earned him massive respect; his unique approach to junglist techno hybrids helping to spur a fresh wave of music designed purely for the dancefloor. The combination of these alternative sounds come together too make something very unique and special and all of these aspects are very apparent in his latest releases ‘Swimming’ & ‘With Patsy’.

We’ll be hosting this event at the wonderful Buffalo Bar; an incredible, intimate space which has recently been fitted with a brand new VOID sound system and has hosted names such as Disclosure, Skream, Julio Bashmore and Bonobo in the past.
