Described as high drama, emotionally intense, or sometimes as just 'sad yelling', their music is rife with detail, disarmingly honest writing, soaring vocals and textured arrangements akin to likes of Bowie, with the energy of Everything Everything and the thematic potency of Radiohead.

SCATTERCHILD is a project driven by staying true to its own vision of excellence, being ambitious beyond its station, and making sure that excitement permeates every song, regardless of it being a blindingly fast punk tune, or
a heartachingly solemn ballad. As aggressively memorable as their angular logo suggests, they always aim to go bolder, bigger, and meet the ambition they're often praised for by fans and the press.

These shows are truly exciting and unpredictable for their audience. As a result, their gigs have become hot ticket events, with recent sold out shows in Manchester and Sheffield off the back of the band’s first 2024 tour. They’ve headlined Night & Day, The Castle Hotel, Lion’s Den and Cultplex to massive fanfare, and supported the likes of Oliver Pinder, Brodie Milner, and Tape Runs Out.

2024 has seen the project busy, with singles releasing in the lead up to debut album AN EVERYDAY LANDSCAPE, due out in November on Bread Records. Additionally, the band are working on exciting collaborations with other local Manchester artists, a film score, and much more... SCATTERCHILD are not to be missed, nor underestimated.

First appearing on the Manchester music scene in 2019, Anyone’s Ghost makes a large impact with a delicate sound, her solemn songs touching on themes of death, romance, mystery and murder. The solo project of local songwriter Wanda Roslyn, Anyone’s Ghost was born from the influence of dark folk and indie rock, encompassed in poetic lyricism and an affection for literature. Usually wielding an acoustic guitar and a multitude of effects pedals, Wanda is able to capture attention from the get-go with haunting vocals, melodic guitar work and a soundscape formed with intensity and emotion.

The debut album "Necromancer", released on the 20th July 2023, is a poetic depiction of Wanda's experiences over the past few years, expanding on the shoegazy sound of the "A Good Winter In June" EP, showing Wanda's maturity and talent throughout the full album. The first single "The Secret History" is a perfect encapsulation of the intensity and dynamic of Anyone’s Ghost’ sound; delicate and intrinsic lyricism backed by a ferocious, intense soundscape that formulates a truly unique style; whereas the final single, “Molotov”, sits between the delicate acoustic ballads, and the chaotic ferocity of their more shoegaze and alternative tracks. Opening up with luscious, haunting guitar lines, Wanda’s vocals seep carefully over the soundscape of the track, controlling the ebb and flow of the track.

These songs are brought even more to life by producer michael webster, who has worked with Wanda over the past four years. Crafting soundscapes behind the tracks, adding unconventional instrumentation and using distortion, feedback and walls of sound from an electric guitar, he is able to create an atmosphere that perfectly compliments the tone of Anyone's Ghost.

With the addition of Max Macmillan on keys and guitar, the three-piece have been able to bring this to the stage, having performed multiple headline slots across Manchester in the past year or two, including an album launch on the 20th of July 2024 at Band On The Wall; they have been making waves in the city and garnering attention and audiences from all across the North West.

Over the course of the past few years, Manchester-based singer-songwriter michael webster has been establishing himself on the North West scene, hosting events across the city through his label Bread Records, and putting out a bunch of self-produced releases and collaborating with other artists in the North West.

With a previous trio of double singles, released throughout the pandemic and well-received by fans and local media outlets alike, he’s returned with his much-anticipated second EP “a northern perspective”. This EP is a collection of michael’s songs from the past six years of his musical career - featuring some favourites including “waterlines”, a hard-hitting nineties’ kids anthem about indecision; “future sight”, a relaxed and calm outlook on moving into the big city; and “consolation prize”, a romantic country-esque ballad entwined with the angst and sarcasm of his generation.

A familiar face for many on the Manchester scene, michael’s songs are instantly recognisable by many across the region. Michael’s unique guitar-playing style, introspective lyricism, and his distinctly Northern-accented storytelling has gained him praise from his fans and peers, being compared to songwriters such as Courtney Barnett, Neil Young, Nirvana, and he has even been referred to as the “Lancastrian Bob Dylan” in the past. His unfaltering approach to writing is unapologetic, raw and personal. His individuality and identity make him a unique and essential part of the Manchester scene.

Through a melting pot of folk, rock, punk and classical influences, Eyam has quickly gained a formidable reputation as the bard of Manchester’s music scene.

With epic song lengths, unconventional song structures, and visual lyricism, his work draws comparison to the likes of Neutral Milk Hotel, Joanna Newsom, and The Microphones. Eyam’s music takes the audience to a new world, exploring ideas of yearning, love, obsession, grief, fear, nature, and time.

Eyam has grown into a distinctive artist unlike anything else currently operating in the North West. Since 2021, Eyam has been performing live around many of Manchester’s venues, and has opened for several local and touring bands. Their work on Necromancer, the debut album by Anyone’s Ghost, took the form of intimate instrumentals and writing contributions that shaped the ethereal, beautiful tone of that highly regarded record.
