Is Dogmilk something you give? Or something you take?
It’s not quite “to be or not to be?” - nevertheless, the Oxford band take inspiration from 80’s synth pop, jangle pop, nu rave and anything with a melancholic frolic. From a smelting melting pot that gold member would fear, they summon tightly crafted, danceable, post-disco-punk.
Releasing their debut singles in 2022, and garnering BBC Intro’s Dave Gilyeat and 6 Music Tom Robinson’s support they proudly “pack a lot into 2 minutes 18 seconds”
Expect abnormal dance moves, broken strings and a thorough licking of cowbell.
Arshaq Malik -
Arshaq Malik is a rapper/producer from Bangalore, India. Drawing influences from multiple genres, his work reflects a wide variety of styles and colours. 40,40A was born out of the depths of Hell to punish humanity with the musical equivalent of a car crash. Frequently described as “a bit weird” or “not my cup of tea”, the duo of saxophone/EWI and drums/piano use jazz, prog and drum & bass to create a unique and potentially musically threatening experience. Influences include Clown Core, black midi, Jacob Collier, Lewis Cole and many more.
