Archivist Recordings Presents:
Origami Tsunami -
Origami Tsunami are an exciting, alternative rock band based in Manchester. With hypnotic intertwining guitar parts and clever lyrics, they forge a dynamic and effervescent sound that draws you into their world.
Releasing music since 2019 they have been played on various radio stations including BBC 6, BBC Lancashire and Amazing Radio UK & USA.
Dogmilk -
Is Dogmilk something you give? Or something you take?
It’s not quite “to be or not to be?” - nevertheless, the Oxford band take inspiration from 80’s synth pop, jangle pop, nu rave and anything with a melancholic frolic. From a smelting melting pot that gold member would fear, they summon tightly crafted, danceable, post-disco-punk.
Releasing their debut singles in 2022, and garnering BBC Intro’s Dave Gilyeat and 6 Music Tom Robinson’s support they proudly “pack a lot into 2 minutes 18 seconds”
Expect abnormal dance moves, broken strings and a thorough licking of cowbell.
Arshaq Malik -
Arshaq Malik is a rapper/producer from Bangalore, India. Drawing influences from multiple genres, his work reflects a wide variety of styles and colours. Starting off as the vocalist of Experimental Metal outfit, Trash Talk, Malik released his debut instrumental project "Andromeda 2050" in 2018. He also has worked extensively with Chennai beatsmith, 47K, putting out multiple releases after their debut album, "Joint Custody" in 2019.
40,40A -
40,40A was born out of the depths of Hell to punish humanity with the musical equivalent of a car crash. Frequently described as “a bit weird” or “not my cup of tea”, the duo of saxophone/EWI and drums/piano use jazz, prog and drum & bass to create a unique and potentially musically threatening experience. Influences include Clown Core, black midi, Jacob Collier, Lewis Cole and many more.
