Notably, he was commissioned by Desmond Tutu, the renowned South African civil rights leader, to write a song celebrating the life of Nelson Mandela. The result, “Inyaniso” was a deeply emotive tribute that beautifully encapsulated the spirit of the revered statesman and freedom fighter.

Returning to his roots, John is back in England, ready for another significant chapter in his career. He is currently collaborating with renowned artist and songwriter, Helen Boulding and double Grammy-winning producer, Guy Massey to record his album. The anticipation is high for this musical partnership, as fans eagerly await to hear what magic will arise from the combination of Blaylock's exceptional talent and Massey's proven expertise.
