Internationally renowned recording artist and “folk diva” Vikki Clayton is one of the best and most successful female folk singers this country has produced in the past forty years. She is, of course, well known for her work with Fairport Convention. She has also released eight critical acclaimed solo albums since leaving the cult folk band Ragged Heroes in the early eighties. She is delighted to be asked to play Toft House, “The Home of Unpopular Music. Vikki is an outstanding song writer and performer and her set will include plenty of her own material alongside some contemporary and traditional folk songs.
“Pen and Stu are an acoustic duo from York where melodic storytelling and distinctive sound have carved a unique niche within the folk community…their music is a journey through time, encapsulating tales of historical figures, folklore legends and seafaring tales of pirate queens, all delivered with a heartfelt authenticity and nuanced artistry” – Folkscape Live
