On Friday 26th August 2016, PLY is taking Pride off the beaten track, throwing a bank holiday blowout and welcoming 2 of the city’s most well respected DJ’s to the decks.
Jamie Bull, who was crowned DJ of the year in 2015 by Manchester Evening News’ City Life, is joined by DJ and producer Gina Breeze.
Part of Manchester/London queer clubbing institution HomoElectric, Jamie’s tastes in disco perversions know no bounds. His record bag is a melting pot of disco, house and italo, old and new, edited and then re-edited again.
Fellow HomoElectric resident Gina Breeze kick-started her career as a resident at SpeedQueen and has since gone on to play at Glastonbury, Parklife, Creamfields, held a residency at BEATNIK playing alongside Yousef, Anek and Eli & Fur to name a few and this year supported Hannah Wants on her UK tour.
Gina also produces her own music under the name MissB and has received accolades from Heidi, Eats Everything and Jackmaster.
The party will also mark the official Manchester launch of Absolut Mix – the limited edition Absolut vodka bottle being launched this summer in association with Pride.
Inspired by the six-colour rainbow of the LGBT Pride flag, the design’s semi-transparent triangles allow the bottle’s colours to overlap in distinct ways when viewed from different angles. This intersecting effect symbolises the connection that is created when various unique individuals mix together.
There will be an exclusive Absolut Mix cocktail available on the night with £1 from every sale being donated to George House Trust.
PLY pride party vibes will be running from 8pm ‘til the early hours and entry is FREE.
