ELECTROFEST is pleased to announce its 2024 return after last year’s successful launch.

The Sat October 5th ‘synthfeast’ will run from 2pm til 2am in the relaxed club-style setting of Darwen Sunbird Records following last year’s more formal setting of the town’s Library Theatre.

Based on an original idea by local music enthusiasts Joe Wilkinson and Ronnie Brown this annual fixture on the Darwen calendar is curated by singer/songwriter Andrew Fishwick-Mahon and promoter Steve Burch.

Once again it features the coming together of local artistes & creatives influenced by the music by the likes of Blancmange, Cabaret Voltaire, Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, Eno, Eurythmics, Heaven 17, Georgio Moroder, Human League, John Foxx, Kraftwerk, Leftfield, New Order, OMD, Orbital, Soulwax, Suicide, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Ultravox and more…..

In addition the ELECTROFEST II compilation album will be launched featuring a track contributed by each of the TEN artistes involved in the event.

Opening the day at 2.30pm will be the much-anticipated appearance of CASINO FILTER who, in the late 70’s, were one of the areas youngest independent bands and only ever played a handful of gigs but they included legendary venues the Lodestar, Sett End and the Mecca.! For three of the original members it will be the first time they’ve shared a stage in 45 years.! To commemorate the occasion they will launch an album of their original songs entitled ‘Sons of Barbary Coast’ which will be released on the day.

ELECTROFEST II will feature videos, animations and digital artwork by Louis Collins, Tom Longworth, Marcel Buschek and Andrew Fishwick Mahon and will, without doubt, be the ‘electronic/synth-influenced’ multi-media event of the year.

Ticketholders will be issued with an official ElectroFest wristband on arrival which gives you unlimited access to the venue day and night, so you can come and go as you please.!

Age Guidance: 14+ Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult 18+ and be out of the venue by 9pm
