With some heavy hitting shows under their belt, playing alongside the likes of Necktr, Noya Rao, Slow Loris and Yussef Dayes, at venues such as Hyde Park Book Club, Belgrave Music Hall and Brudenell Social Club, Creatures’ knack for getting it started has earned them not-to-be-missed status in Leeds’ fruitful DIY scene.

PINNEL
> Vocal Soundscapes/ Live looping / choral/ noise
Newcastle-based multi-disciplinary artist Lindsay Duncanson’s work “concerns people and space and how our relationship to landscape is mediated through culture and history; how we negotiate the sublime, the unimaginable, the beauty and fear of modern life” Pinnel has previously performed at Tusk Festival, and is also a co-founder of experimental vocal group noizechoir.

JONATHON HIGGINS
> Glitch Turntablism/ noise
Jonathan Higgins is a sound artist based in London whose work focuses on the utilisation of noise. His latest project Glitch Turntablism was born out of a frustration with digital DJ equipment. CDJs and DJ software primarily imitates vinyl; instead, Jonathan has modified CD players to uncover the noise hidden within digital audio and utilises these to manipulate audio live.
