Northern Quarter Tuesday Talks presents a community charity event at the Wonder Inn in the Northern Quarter Manchester with poetry from Tony Walsh | Longfella and the best in music from Clint Boon and Emma Clair on Thursday 2nd June at 7 pm everyone is welcome £5 entry on the door all proceeds to Forever Manchester Charity.

Tony Walsh | Longfella
Longfella is the new professional name for "the towering wildfire that is Tony Walsh" - "one of the UK's most renowned performance poets" and a respected writer, workshop leader and community organiser.
Standing out from the crowd at nearly two metres tall, Longfella - Tony to his friends, is humbled when described as a "colossus" and a "true giant" of the performance poetry scene whilst performing everywhere from The British Library to The Glastonbury Festival. Tony's poetry has been published on both sides of the Atlantic as well as displayed with an LS Lowry image at both Tate Modern and The British Museum as part of a Heritage Lottery Fund "Best of British" exhibition. A multiple winner and finalist in top-level poetry slam competitions, Tony is the current Manchester Literature Festival Comedy Slam Champion and was the runner-up in "The Times" UK Allstars Slam Final at Cheltenham Literature Festival.
Clint Boon
Clinton Boon is an English musician, DJ and radio presenter. Boon originally rose to fame as the keyboard player (and sometimes vocalist) of Inspiral Carpets.
In 2005 Boon became head of music of the Oldham-based radio station, The Revolution, where he presented the 1000–1400 weekday show in 2006 he left the station for, then rival station, Xfm Manchester where he began presenting the drivetime show. The following year Boon received two Sony Award nominations for his XFM show in the Music Broadcaster and Specialist Music Programme categories. Boon has a cult following, with regular listeners to his show being unofficially enrolled in the Boon Army.
He has been a resident DJ on Saturday nights at the club 'South' in Manchester for fifteen years, while also hosting other nights around the UK. From September 2015, Boon has hosted a Sunday evening show on Radio X between 7pm and 11pm. From 16th January 2016, Clint will present an 80s music show on BBC Radio Manchester between 6pm and 8pm.
In January 2015 Boon launched a campaign to recruit runners to take part in the 10K Great Manchester Run to raise money for the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital Charity and the Saint Mary's Hospital Charity's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Members of the public were invited to sign up and run as part of the Boon Army to raise sponsorship money for the charities.
Emma Clair
UK Based DJ & purveyor of Vintage beats & Electro Swing, House, Techno & everything in between!
Emma Clair is an exciting and versatile, Manchester based DJ, who over the past 7 years has risen through the ranks in the electronic music scene to become one of the most respected female DJs in her field. Emma’s passion for music is unrivalled and her vast musical knowledge sees her regularly craft genre defying sets that never fail to get the dance floor moving. Emma’s signature vocal led style is undercut with techy edged beats, percussion and killer basslines. She has played at some of the largest venues in the UK including Ministry Of Sound London, Gatecrasher Birmingham and Gatecrasher Leeds.
She is also a firm favourite on the underground scene having played events such as Illuminaughty, Low Down & Dirty, Planet Zogg and Strange Daze. International gigs the Big White Powder Festival in Bulgaria and a SO DJ Tour of Ibiza at Bar M, The Orange Corner, Peppers 2 and Viva. Emma has presented her own radio show on Radio Frequency, Pure 107.8FM and online station Generate. As well as DJing, Emma also runs her own successful events brand ‘Prohibition’ and is working on pushing her own sound through music production.
