Ren Lawton - Live at The Folklore Rooms

Ren Lawton heads on his first headline UK tour in support of his critically acclaimed debut album 'Today Today Tomorrow'. With a notable ability to play a varied section of instruments - from guitars and trumpet to harmonica and piano - Ren was able to create mature vignettes inspired by the great storytellers from music and beyond such as Bob Dylan and Frank O‘Connor. The result is debut album, Today Today Tomorrow; a collection of songs, emotive and personal, cutting right to the heart of who Ren is.

"...a compelling frontman with a variety of tricks up his sleeve, meant for musical innovation..."

+ Molly Mckinna

Providing a steady flow of introspective indie-folk tunes, 24-year-old newcomer Molly McKinna brings artfully crafted melodies and a bewitchingly delicate voice to the brighton music scene.

She transfixes audiences with spine-tingling vocals and gut-punching lyrics telling stories of love, loss, and emotional challenges. A post-pandemic epiphany, Molly is currently working on her second EP, with an early-2023 release date. Discover her today on Spotify, SoundCloud, or Insagram!

+ Charlie O'Connor

‘Making my art is how I rebel in a world that tells me to behave myself and stop being so sensitive.’

Charlie O’Connor is a Cornish singer/songwriter-poet, based in Brighton (UK), with an
appetite for creating as an act of rebellion. She writes and sings her wildly empowering,
emotional, witty and sometimes outrageous creations with art-rock flair and indie-folk
ethereal soundscapes.

‘The New Rebellion’, debut single and first track set to be released from the EP, is for the
voices unheard and un-listened to. It’s for advocates of social-change, and those opposing
climate change. The piano-based, ocean-power-surging, vocally raw and charged stomper is
an anthem for the grand-daughters and the allies of the witches they couldn’t burn.
‘I am listening to the voices on the wind, to the echoes in the night, can you hear them, hear
them cry?’
