RICHARD GRAINGER & CHRIS PARKINSON / Sammi

Songs of Teesside, the moors and the coastal communities. Richard Grainger is an internationally recognised song writer and good Boro lad. He is a real Teesside treasure. When he played for us in 2022, his rendition of his self-penned murder ballad “The Stepping Stones” was stunning. I hope he plays it again!

Chris Parkinson was a co-founder of the British folk band The House Band (1984-2001), playing accordion, harmonica, melodeon and keyboards.

Known to many people around the folk clubs in the area, particularly to regulars at the Candelite Club and followers on the Folkroundabout.com website, Sammi will be making her first appearance as a performer at Toft House.
