Kirtan is the calling, the crying, the reaching across infinite space — digging into the heart’s deepest well to touch and be touched by the Divine Presence. What is a mantra & what does it do?Our ancient seers identified certain specific sound vibrations that bring the mind to a state of calmness and peace besides bringing other benefits. These sounds are called mantras. They allow the mind to dissolve and repose. These subtle, positive vibrations create that same field of positivity in us as well. The purpose of sound in chanting is to bring silence in the mind. When that happens, we find it easier to meditate. Chanting charges up the atmosphere with positive vibrations and in such a space, meditation becomes natural and effortless. Mantras save us from continuous flow of thought and help bring our mind to the present moment. It is then we enjoy a deep experience in meditation.
We create a sacred circle together for everyone to join and sing or simply listen in meditation and rise our vibrations into harmony with creation, into a space of Love, into a place of healing.
After the chant we'll meditate together and finish of with a opportunity to share/discuss the experience.
