Sweet Baboo

The first Sweet Baboo song to be released for 5 years. This is what SB had to say for the song in his own words:

“I wrote most of this song back in the Spring of 2017. It was recorded in one wild session at Studiowz in Clarbeston, West Wales, with Jimmy Robertson engineering, Paul Jones playing organs and keyboards, David Newington on drums, Antonio Feola on percussion and Georgia Ruth and Jodie Marie singing harmonies.

We tried to capture the spirit of Stereolab, Tropicalia and Paul Simon in our performance and I’m pretty pleased with the results. It even has a flute solo on it. What more can you ask for?"

It is being released on Sweet Baboo's own Amazing Tapes From Canton Label

Tour support comes from Clémentine March. French-born British songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Clémentine March has released two albums so far on Lost Map Records, Le Continent (2020) and Songs Of Resilience (2021), both reflecting her multicultural roots (childhood spent in France, music learning in Brazil) and her preoccupations, loss, love and transcendence. Her music loosely reunites Caetano Veloso's melodies and Béla Bartók's chord progressions, Pavement and cheesy tunes from a late 20th Century TV set. Clémentine is currently preparing her third album, due to be released in 2023.

Clémentine also has played (mostly bass) with artists the likes of Dana Gavanski, Alabaster dePlume, Snapped Ankles, Floating World Pictures, Naima Bock, and many others.
