Having all played together on previous endeavors The Blame bring the rough sound of their previous influences but take it to new dimension; with Blues and Rock'n'Roll influences coming through the music is mature beyond it's years. In early 2017 the band release their debut single recorded in summer 2016 with internationally recognised producer Scott Mathews who has previously worked with David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Neil Young and Etta James to name a few.
'Sounding confident, they brandish cool retro jangly-guitar influences, and vocals that draw hints of early John Lennon, Liam Gallagher at his peak, and even a young James Skelly from The Coral all into the blend.'
- Lee Thompson, Record of the Day
'Breezy and effortlessly melodic indie pop from Liverpool there’s a pleasine jangles to the guitars and some deft harmonizing that recalls The Coral in places anfd there’s distant echoes of The L.a’s too.'
- Bugbear Promotions
