CARDIFF STUDENTS’ UNION × G.O.A.T EVENTS UK × CARDIFF DIWALI FESTIVAL PRESENTS THE OFFICIAL CARDIFF DIWALI FESTIVAL 2026 🪔✨

CARDIFF DIWALI BASH — FAKE WEDDING EDITION💍🔥

OUR BIGGEST & LAST CARDIFF EVENT OF 2026!

From the organisers behind Cardiff Holi Festival, we’re bringing the Festival of Lights to Y PLAS with a big fat Desi wedding twist!

The outfit planning. Getting ready with your friends. Everyone heading straight to the dancefloor when their favourite wedding song comes on… this Diwali, we’re bringing that shaadi feeling to Cardiff. 💃✨

And this year, the celebrations start before the club night! 👀

🥂 MEET YOUR MATCH BEFORE THE SHAADI
7:30PM–11PM | SECRET-LOCATION DIWALI SOCIAL

Start the evening with your friends, meet new people and get into the festive spirit before heading to Y PLAS.

Drinks available and time to mingle 🍸
Optional speed dating & matchmaking 💘
Fireworks to light up the evening 🎆
Your shaadi crew, festive outfits and plenty of new faces ✨

You don’t need to take part in matchmaking to enjoy the social — come along with friends and join the celebrations.

The social’s location will be shared with ticket holders after booking.

💍 THEN THE SHAADI TAKES OVER Y PLAS
11PM–3AM | CARDIFF STUDENTS’ UNION

There’s no wedding ceremony or actual bride and groom — everyone comes as a wedding guest, ready for the music, outfits and dancing!

LADKI WAALE, LADKE WAALE OR THE BARAATI WHO DANCES WITH EVERYONE… WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON? 👀🥁

Bring your friends, pick your side and get ready for a Bollywood wedding dancefloor.

✨ THE DRESS CODE: YOUR BEST SHAADI FITS

Lehengas, sarees, kurtas, sherwanis… finally, a reason to wear that outfit you’ve been waiting to bring out!

Traditional and festive outfits are encouraged, but not compulsory. Students from all backgrounds are welcome to celebrate with us.
