GO! Eat is an amazing way to try new foods and meet new people! Come with us and discover some of Swansea’s best independent restaurants, experiencing a variety of cuisines from around the world. Relax, have a laugh, enjoy some delicious food and great company at a brilliant price.

This month, to coincide with Lunar New Year (2022 is a Year of the Tiger!), we are heading to the ever-popular New Slow Boat restaurant on Swansea’s High Street. The Slow Boat is one of Swansea’s most loved restaurants, where Vivian and her family serve a wide range of Cantonese and Peking style dishes suitable for all tastes.

Our group will be served a delicious variety of dishes specially prepared just for us – this will be a sharing-style dining experience, so you can try as many of the meals as you want - we are sure there will be something for everyone.

We will be enjoying a set meal for just £10 per person which will include halal, vegetarian, and vegan options. If you wish to add anything, this is at the discretion of the restaurant and may incur additional charges which you’d need to pay on the day.

COVID-19 / Social Distancing: COVID-19: You must not attend this event if you have tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 10 days, have been a close contact of another person with a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the last 10 days, have been advised to self-isolate, or are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19. If you have recently arrived in the UK, you must have completed any UK Government mandated quarantine period before attending this event.

You are required to follow all Welsh and UK Government COVID guidelines in place at the time of the event which may include providing Track & Trace information. Please follow all requirements set by the venue.

We’ll be seated on shared tables, but if you prefer, we can set aside smaller tables. Please email us at gosocial@swansea.ac.uk to let us know, by midday Monday 7th February, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

Children: Children are welcome to attend the event, however there isn’t a discounted child ticket available. Please be aware there is no child-meal option, so this might not be suitable for younger kids!

Dietary Requirements / Needs / Allergies: The meal includes a variety of items including halal, vegan and vegetarian options. Thew restaurant will provide guidance on these dishes.

If you have any additional dietary needs, requirements, or allergies, you must take responsibility to ensure that these are not compromised. If you email us at gosocial@swansea.ac.uk with details at least 3 working days before the event we will try to get a response from the restaurant for you. Outside of those times you will need to liaise with the restaurant directly. Please check again with restaurant staff on the night to avoid any risk.

Refund policy: Refunds must be requested no later than midday Monday 7th February. To request a refund:

• Go to www.fatsoma.com/orders, locate the order you would like refunded, click "View Order", then click "Request a Refund". Fill in the form with a reason for the refund request
• Email gosocial@swansea.ac.uk to ensure a member of the team can authorise the refund

If you book a ticket but do not attend the event, no refund will be issued. We will make an exception if you test positive for COVID or have been advised to self-isolate – proof will be required.

Conduct: You are responsible for your own behaviour and time keeping. Please take reasonable care of your own and other people's health and safety. Please familiarise yourself with safety information at the venue.

Accessibility: This event takes place at a fully accessible venue. If you have any concerns or queries or specific accessibility requirements, please contact gosocial@swansea.ac.uk as soon as possible. We will do our best to assist, however we cannot guarantee all requirements can be met.

Data Protection: International@CampusLife will use the information you provide for attendance and safety purposes. We will use your data to produce internal statistics but will not share it with third parties or use it for marketing. Your information will be provided to our evemt leader on the day of the trip for the purpose of attendance monitoring and emergency situations. The information will be kept confidential and passed back to ICL and destroyed on return from the trip (once we have passed the legally required COVID-19 Track & Trace period). Photos: We will be taking photos throughout the event which we will use to promote future activities in the form of leaflets, social media posts, digital screens and on our website. If you would not like to be included, then please tell us on the day of the event. If you see yourself in any pictures and would like to be removed, please email us at gosocial@swansea.ac.uk and we will make sure that any photos of you are deleted.
