SLEAZE #2: Duvet, Alright (Okay), The Sewer Cats & Don't Open Love Letters

Liverpool art & music collective Dead Animals present the second edition of SLEAZE; an evening of alternative rock and punk featuring the North West's finest up-and-coming talent.

Featuring...

Duvet

Manchester-based independent 5 piece Post-Punk band with Punk influences. Formed in June 2020. They released Post Punk/Dream Pop song Running Around In Circles. Since Running Around In Circles released, the band moved onto a heavier, more energetic sound. With unique drum beats, wailing guitar riffs, punchy bass lines and loud strong female vocals, Duvet’s sound is familiar but also unique.

Alright (Okay)

The four-piece garage rock outfit alright (okay) has a loud yet laid back sound. From their tunes laced with infectious hooks to their energetic live performances that'll make the next person think the people in the front row have just gone for a swim in the local pool, these certified sexy boys are ones to watch out for. Rumour has it that Dead Animals actually has a shrine dedicated to them...

The Sewer Cats

Ferocious, fuzzy, feline-inclined… The Sewer Cats are an explosive Manchester-based punk duo delivering riotous tunes of patriarchy-smashing fury. Their short and snappy songs have been described as ‘catchy and scathing’, bursting with hooky riffs drenched in fuzz and aggressive riot-grrrl vocals, all served up with a big helping of sass.

Don't Open Love Letters

Don’t Open Love Letters (DOLL) are Liverpool’s ONLY feminist horror punk band. The duo consistently captivate listeners with their gripping lyrics fuelled by the harsh realities of the world. Their main aim, if you couldn't tell, is to murder misogyny. Since their modest beginnings, the ladies have gone on to flesh out the band to create a bigger sound, the new lineup brings a raucous noise, which pairs with the huge vocals to truly melt faces.
