We're excited to announce the first in a series of artist-curated fundraisers for the venue:
Our inaugural event is curated by Durham folk-punk legends ONSIND!
Friends of the venue ONSIND (members of Martha/Nathy SG), established in 2006 (like the Securitas Depot Robbery), have been playing their signature brand of introspective, morally conscious, anti-fascist punk for nearly twenty years.
They will be performing in their full band iteration, so expect raucous sing-alongs and disco grooves from the rhythm section - this will likely be your only chance to see them in 2026. Do not miss out.
ONSIND have invited locals Fast Blood (members of Fortitude Valley/Voorhees), and Liverpool's Ancient Hostility (formerly of Dawn Ray'd/All in Vain) to complete the line-up.
Fast Blood - kinetic, soulful, melodic NE punk rock for lovers. Huge riffs and pummelling rhythms inspired by Hot Snakes & Pretty Girls Make Graves - political anthems with razor-sharp lyrics.
Ancient Hostility - displaying the power of restraint and minimalism, sparing use of violin/concertina and vocal harmonies that hit like a sledge-hammer, AH effortlessly fluctuate between beauty & righteous anger.
We are proud to offer a hugely diverse, cross-genre programme that caters to as many tastes as possible. In the face of rising costs and declining pre-sales, we can only continue to do this with the support of the community.
We're incredibly grateful to ONSIND for curating this stellar line-up and to these amazing bands for offering to donate their fees to the venue - if you've enjoyed any of our weird and wonderful programme over the years, please come down, give generously and support the Lubber Fiend.
Tickets are priced between £5 - £20, and NOTAFLAF policy always applies.
Additional donations can be made on the door, and regular donations can be made via Paypal.
***Following the ONSIND show, there will be a late night gig featuring Self Immolation Music, Louse and Diall between 23.00 - 03.00. All tickets/donations for the fundraiser will be valid for entry into the late night gig too, so please join us huffing some fog and neon until the early hours.***
