Last Stop Sounds / Liverpool Psychedelic Society / Kool Tone Records Presents: Mugstar, Kill Your Boyfriend, The Dry Retch and Neu Oscuro @ 81 Renshaw St Liverpool - Thursday 03 December 2026

81 Renshaw Street Liverpool, L1 2SJ, Doors 7:30pm, ends by 11:30pm

A massive linuep for this gig at 81 Renshaw Street. We have the mighty mighty Mugstar, Italian garage psychsters Kill Your Boyfriend, the fuzzed up scuzz of The Dry Retch and the way out experimental tribal noises of Neu Oscuro.

Mugstar: Psych legends back on the move with a series of gigs in 2026. Mugstar are renowned for their intense mesmerising performances and ability to entrance audiences around the world. Mugstar are one of the finest exponents of heavy psychedelic rock.

Kill Your Boyfriend: A two-piece psych/post-punk/dark wave/ shoegaze band formed in 2011 in Venice, Italy. They are Matteo Scarpa on guitar and vocals, and Antonio Angeli on drums. They have released 2 albums on Italy-based Shyrec, as well as several singles and EPs, including a 10" split with New Candys in 2015 and “Elizabeth” a 7" Ltd on London-based Depths Records. The third album “Killadelica“ and the fourth “Voodoo“ were released via Sister 9 Recordings (UK), Little Cloud Records (US) and Shryec.

They have been performing extensively across Europe, UK and Russia opening for bands like Preoccupations, The KVB, ZU, Zola Jesus, Civil Civic, The Underground Youth and many other artists.

The new EP “Disco Kills” will released on LTD Edition Vinyl 12" (as part of a split release with Neu Oscuro) on May 9th, 2025 via Sister 9 Recordings.

The Dry Retch: The living embodiment of down and dirty garage punk rock and roll, the DRY RETCH are a sonic, cyclotronic assault on the senses; a punk n roll machine ready to deliver and pulverise time after time. They have been the real deal since 1999, elbowing all pretenders into the dustbin of history, being the bastard sons of the Stooges with no need for gimmicks or studied pretension; these really are the genuine article.

An Anglo-Australian musical strike force, the Dry Retch have positioned themselves as the cream of the Merseyside crop. With 10 genre defining albums to their credit, they come with a worn-in-look that is from real, lived experiences, not from preening in front of a mirror; and with that comes an unrivalled musical purity.

Call it Rock & Roll, Punk Rock, Garage Punk, Punk n Roll – whatever you wanna call it – the DRY RETCH encapsulates all this and more, they really are THE quintessential rock & roll band. You’ll be ready to testify when you’ve been Retchified.

Neu Oscuro: Born out of friendship forged in the dank Manchester underground music scene, Neu Oscuro have a range of continental influences, psych styles and dark post-punk vibes evident. The band’s sound is largely built upon the murkier side of frontman Rhys Bloodjoy’s solo work and adds the booming percussive machine of Le Crowley and David Sheffield. The trio reveal a dangerous and bare-bones side to Bloodjoy’s already intense style of music—still utilising loops, but with the addition of primitive live drums and deep synth basslines.

Their debut EP Desolation is a collection of tracks which exude their energy and pull you deep into their world. Having made their debut live performance at The Conjuring festival last year. Having played a run of shows earlier this year, they are back for more dates, this time with Kill Your Boyfriend, who they share a split EP release with; a match made in heaven? Or hell…  New Wave // Cold Wave // Post Punk
