Our recipe consists of some damn good Funk & Soul brought to you by one of the longest players in the game! Yes you guessed it - BBC Radio 6’s pragmatic and animated music show host, Mr Craig Charles is off duty from the airwaves for the night, bringing his ‘trunk of funk’ to La Belle Angele on Friday, 21st October! No stranger to the city, Craig has previously whipped up a storm at the Edinburgh Fringe and Hogmany Street Party, securing a party of loyal Scottish Soul addicts! A city that marries the antique with the modern so well will have no trouble digesting Charles’ interpretations of Funk & Soul. Whether he’s spinning his truck-load of bad ass classics or whether he’s mixing up his current interpretations of the genre, Craig’s rule is one – dance, dance, dance! 

It will be no surprise then that he has rounded up the city’s funkiest party starters to operate part of his Funk & Soul takeover – Four Coners. With a residency at the infamous Bongo Club, these guys are renowned for serving up a rapturous blend of soulful dance floor music, new and old, from right across the map! Get ready for a serious get down to some Deep Funk and Future Soul, Party Hip Hop and Good-time Reggae.

With a team of DJ’s on hand throughout the night getting the good vibes bouncing from wall to wall, it’s time to polish up those dancing shoes. So mama’s and papa’s get ready to dig this crazy scene – Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show is back in town!
