So, Reverie live at Kazimier Stockroom to celebrate the launch of their latest single "Sentimentality". With support from Wedding Band, April Tapes & Our Worlds Collide making it a night filled with Post-Punk, Dreampop and Shoegaze sounds.
So, Reverie are a newly formed Liverpool based Post-Punk duo consisting of Lead Singer/Guitarist Andy Power & Guitarist/Drummer Cain Garcia. Following the dissolution of their former band Avalyn, the pair decided to reunite over their shared love for alternative guitar music and dissatisfaction with the current UK music scene, with the intention of being the band they would want to see themselves.
The project is founded on the synergy between Power & Garcia, both creatively and personally, which results in an upfront yet heartfelt sound which sets them apart from many of their contemporaries in the Post-Punk space. The jangly melodies and pop sensibilities brought in by Power juxtaposed with Garcia’s gritty textures and driving drum beats bind together the unique sound that So, Reverie bring to the table.
With Power initially inspired by the likes of HighSchool, The Smiths and Echo & The Bunnymen, the addition of Garcia’s influences including the likes of Iceage, Bill-Ryder Jones and The Strokes add another dimension to their sonic pallette.
The duo since forming have released a debut single “Decaying” which has amassed nearly 7,000 streams on Spotify and has been heavily featured on BBC Introducing in Merseyside leading to support slots with the likes of Bleach Lab, Shelf Lives and Topographies. The duo now play their first ever headline show in their hometown of Liverpool at The Kazimier Stockroom on the 4th April to celebrate the release of their second single ‘Sentimentality’.
