Why we are doing this event >> <3 Our dad Andreas Evangelou who has just returned from his 4th trip to Ukraine delivering urgent medical supplies urgently needs to raise some funding to help keep a summer camp that has become a refugee camp for over 100 refugees from Kharkiv and Mariupol open for the coming harshness of winter.

The camp has been used since 1998 as a Christian summer camp for homeless and troubled children and teenagers. Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the camp was filled with refugees in 24 hours and they are all mostly still there. The roof is leaking and the windows need replacing and the shower and toilet blocks are 100 metres from the living accommodation blocks and impossible to get to and from when the camp will be in 2 or 3 metres of snow and sub-zero temperatures.

To prevent the camp from closing and making these refugees homeless again he is desperately trying to raise funding to get the works required finished before the coming winter.

Cosmic Kitchen is co hosting a fundraising night in aid of this worthy cause and THANK YOU to freshly squeezed for helping us to raise as much as we can <3
