Saturday 18th march is set to bring some BIG sounds to the club for the launch of our new event series Gorilla Sounds, headlined by a monstrous back 2 back from TSVI (Anunaku) & object blue, with support from Ell Murphy (Live) & Manchester’s own Zuri.
TSVI (ANUNAKU // NERVOUSE HORIZON)
Founder of underground record label Nervous Horizon, TSVI has been responsible for some of the best dance floor EP's of 2022. Also producing under the alias Anunaku, his highly percussive sound draws from everything from dubstep to dancehall to his Italian roots, which makes it genuinely enjoyable to listen to, even outside of the the club.
OBJECT BLUE (RINSE FM // NERVOUS HORIZON)
Born in Tokyo, raised in Beijing and now resident in London, object blue is one of the most exciting new voices in experimental club music, her limber live sets blending techno and sound design in a way that’s both cerebral and body-moving. Since storming onto the scene in 2018 with her TT released debut EP Do you plan to end a siege? and follow up REX on Let’s Go Swimming, in 2019 object blue has been in all the right places.
Both artists have been taking the festival scene by storm with their hard hitting B2B. We're excited to bring this duo to Manchester for their debut.
ELL MURPHY (BALAMII // FOUNDATION FM)
South East London DJ & vocalist Ell Murphy has been making waves with her multi genre mixes and releases over the past 18 months. Behind the decks, she combines both disciplines to deliver a unique performance style. You can catch Ell singing live over her high energy selections on the airwaves as a resident on Balamii radio and across the UK – with notable sets for FOLD, Hör Berlin, Fabric & Motion plus guest-mixes for Rinse, NTS & Reprezent.
Born in Seville, now heading many a Manchester residency, Zuri is the perfect accompaniment to this hefty line up. Bringing her love of heavy breaks to every set with a mix of tribal rhythms, bouncy basslines and heavy percussion.
