Live dance music with 5 of our favourite performers, each using a whole host of hardware and software. some of this is preplanned and some are one-off performances that you will never hear again. This is a twice-yearly event and our first one at Kanteena, we can't wait to host what will be a unique night in the heart of Lancaster.

There will be some early bird tickets starting from £5, the date they're on sale will be announced soon.

Brapscallion

Brapscallion is a Preston-based producer and DJ, blending dusty house grooves, jazz-soaked samples and leftfield electronics. Expect a warm, groove-heavy set pulling from deep house, disco and the stranger corners of the dancefloor.

Fidgets

Fidgets is the techno alter-ego of Preston synth wizard Polypores. It combines his trademark echo-laden psychedelia with pounding beats, rubbery acid basslines, and a raw, chaotic, improvised energy.

Guerrilla Biscuits

Techno outing for this show fusing the usual glitchy beats, dub-by basses, ice-cream van leads and snarky percussion with some pumping kick. There’s likely to be some big pads and almost certainly some warped vocal samples taken from the likes of Future-Economist Kate Raworth, Rock Against Racism fanzine editor Red Saunders and/or Philip K. Dick.

All performances are 100% improvised - so the immersive sonic journey re-boots with each outing.

Die Dan Die

Die Dan Die is an independent UK trance and electronic music producer, carving a distinctive niche in the modern underground electronic scene. Known online under the handle @diedandieaudio, he has built a reputation for crafting emotive, melodic, and immersive trance compositions that seamlessly bridge the euphoric energy of the dance floor with the introspective depth of cinematic electronic music.

Subordinate Clause

Dark (sometimes light) high energy hypnotic techno performed on a variety of live synths, sequencers, samplers and drum machines. Subordinate Clause close the night with an extended set that will send you walking home at a solid 135bpm.
