A man of many monikers, New York native Brian Piñeyro (aka DJ Python, DJ Wey, Deejay Xanax & Luis) is someone we’ve been itching to book for a long, long time.
His productions span everything from bleepy Techno and off-kilter Jungle, right through to the more experimental and downright obscure corners of electronic music — 'Underground Reggaeton' anyone? Python's the pioneer. His DJ sets are where he ties this all together — snaking between genres and tempos with consummate ease.
Citing Ambient / IDM royalty Aphex Twin and Matthew Herbert as his inspirations, Python’s 2017 album on Anthony Naples' Incienso imprint thrust him into the limelight — and with an EP on Dekmantel due to be released in the coming weeks — Brian shows no signs of slowing down.
On support duties for this one is our resident JDS — back behind the CULT decks for the first time since moving to London.
