DRIFT (#2): Deakin, SHARDS, Waui Maui

Liverpool art & music collective Dead Animals present the second installation of DRIFT; a dreamy night of atmospheric and ephemeral music, showcasing a wide range of styles and genres, ranging from shoegaze to psychedelic breakbeats.

Deakin

Deakin is piercing through the Liverpool drum and bass scene, making waves in the clubs, showing off his multi-genre talent. Injecting influences like Ross from Friends and Aphex Twin, with plenty of 140bpm and breaks into his headline set, expect gun fingers and bass faces all round when he touches the decks!

SHARDS

SHARDS' music envelops profound anxieties wrapped up in a romantic, dream-like setting. Their lyrics can be dark and yet the melodic pieces are packaged in a beautiful soaring soundscape. 

Waui Maui

Waui Maui is a north Liverpool based psychedelic, reggae rock and roll band. They have quite a unique sound that is not heard a lot around northern UK. They're full of trippy guitar solos, funky bass lines and lots of wah wah.
