We are back at our favourite venue and new permanent home, Morris Hall and Mad Jack's Comedy Club is going from strength to strength with our Resident MC Danny McLoughlin introducing double headliners Matt Bragg and Toussaint Douglass
Matt Bragg is the son of television warm up man Bobby Bragg and one of the most stylish comedians out there, the mod-ish Matt Bragg has been entertaining crowds across the world for the past decade. With a unique, low-energy, deadpan style and meticulously crafted material he has been gaining critical acclaim from audiences, promoters and comedians alike.
After a few years of honing his craft Matt was introduced to the bigger stages performing as tour support in front of arenas and theatres for the likes of Ricky Gervais, Matt Rife, Harry Hill, Lloyd Griffith, Suzi Ruffell, Jason Manford, John Bishop, Clinton Baptiste, Scott Bennett amongst many others.
After establishing himself as one of the most exciting and sought-after names in comedy, Matt took his debut show Matt Bragg Has Nothing Wrong With Him across Europe in 2024 before embarking on a sell-out tour of the UK.
"Classic observational stand up, delivered with effortless style." Ricky Gervais
"Jack Dee’s world view, with Frank Skinner’s voice, all wrapped in a Mod’s fashion sense" Chortle
Toussaint Douglass quickly established his stand up comedy credentials as a finalist in the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year and the Up The Creek One to Watch competitions.
Mixing the personal with the political, whilst adding a uniquely absurdist slant to brilliant comic effect, he can now be seen at top comedy venues across the country including The Comedy Store, The Glee Club and Komedia Brighton.
"On a different plane from the rest of the world." Chortle
Resident MC Danny McLoughlin has the sharp wit & material, likeable persona and strong stage presence that have seen him become a much sought after act in his short time as a stand up. A finalist in the Chortle Student Comedian of The Year in 2008, Danny went on to perform as part of the prestigious Big Value Comedy Show during Edinburgh Festival 2009. He also supported Al Pitcher on his UK Tour and is booked by some of the UK's biggest gigs and promoters.
