Post-punk informed DIY garage-rock played with gay abandon, Whinge slam together influences from the Mondays to the Sabbath, ESG to LCD, Genesis to the Rapture.
Whinge live performances veer from intense & frenetic to creeping & sardonic. Shouting his little head off and stomping around up front, Aaron’s stage presence is pretty extreme if not extremely pretty.
Playing with the likes of Benefits, LIFE, Part Chimp, BODEGA and many more; festival slots at Manchester Psych Fest, Waves Sunderland, Knockengorroch, Glastonferret among others; as well as running their own bi-annual mini-festival & celebration Whingefest; have all marked Whinge out as a force to be reckoned with.
Whinge's debut album 'Something's Not Quite Right' is released on strictly limited edition vinyl & CD on Crackedankles Records, who have previously released Hotwax, Thank, Evil Blizzard, King Gizzard ATLW and more. Featuring exclusive art by Arne Wald, the famed German illustrator who saw the band and fell under their spell.
