Northern Parasol's Retro Residency | Third Warning Party | Feat. Vespertines, Spooky Goose & Hill Cliffe

It is Northern Parasol's pleasure to announce the third event of our weekly residency at Retro! For over six weeks, Northern Parasol will be taking over (nearly) every Tuesday, showcasing the best, emerging talent. We are so thrilled to be presenting these shows at Retro, it's such an iconic venue and we loved working with them for our second ever event, so it's an honour to be back!

Since our formation, Northern Parasol has presented an incredible range of artists to the best crowds in the city. These weekly events promise to be no different! There will be music, there will be madness and there will be mayhem - you know the drill by now.

Headlining this show is Third Warning Party. A chaotic duo in every sense of the word, they set out to cause 'havoc in Manchester' and we expect nothing less. Experimental, atmospheric & industrial, these guys have played Fuel, 33 Oldham Street & Antwerp Mansion - so they are well-versed in the Manchester music scene. We're super excited to be brining them to Retro for our residency. 

Support for this one comes from Vespertines, Spooky Goose & Hill Cliffe. We are very happy to be welcoming back Vespertines for their second show with us. If last time is anything to go by, they'll be bringing energy, infectious melodies and effortless showmanship to the Retro stage. Their indie-anthems are some of the best on the circuit. Spooky Goose are a 3-piece outfit who have done the rounds of the Manchester scene, and for good reason, because people just keep wanting them back! Influenced by punk, indie & midwestern emo, they bring eclectic tunes with thought provoking lyrics to any stage they grace. And making up the line-up is newcomers Hill Cliffe. They might be just starting out, but this four-piece promise jangly, melancholic indie vibes in line with The Smiths, The Cure & a little Stone Roses sprinkled in.

As with any Northern Parasol night, we will be enforcing our Stop The Set. Call It Out policy. We have a zero tolerance policy toward unwanted, unacceptable and anti-social behaviour committed by anyone. If you see anything that is making you or anyone else uncomfortable or unsafe, please make us aware!

We encourage all those who attend to be an 'active bystander'. This means that if you witness any anti-social behaviour, then try to be a friendly face to the person receiving unwanted attention and remove them from the situation. Do not put yourself at risk or in harms way - if you don't feel comfortable stepping in, then report it to us!

We will act on any issues we witness or are made aware of. We will Stop The Set & Call It Out.
