Quarantine – a creative workshop introduction
Grosvenor East Studio 1 (1.09)
Quarantine is a group of people working together as artists and producers who are united by an interest in everyday life. Our work across performance and other forms deals with the politics and aesthetics of contemporary experience and how we relate to one another. Rooted in Manchester, England since 1998, we make and tour our work around the world.
Led by Kate Daley, this workshop offers an insight into how we work, where questions and conversation sit at the centre of our practice. It begins with an informal potted history, before moving into a creative exploration of what it means to stand inside the framing of a performance while simultaneously shaping it. We’ll look at our shift towards more durational, structural ways of making that allow material to emerge in situ, and finish with a conversation about future pathways, collaboration, and how this kind of work can be sustained.
