A Musical Culture Clash of Urban Folk Music Featuring Foot Stompin' Sing Along Tunes, Fiery Percussion, Tap Dance Beats & a bundle of Positive Vibes! Now based in the UK.

Influenced by old school folk & hip hop sounds, alternative rock, experimental and dance music, this is an act that puts the audience at the forefront of their show.

Integral to the Kid Hyena sound is the exciting use of rhythm tap dance, which is a visceral and expressive art-form far removed from the cabaret style we are used to in the UK.

Their forthcoming album 'It Takes Courage to be Happy' has been recorded during a period of time in which the band have relocated to Plymouth. Following on from the bimonthly releases of each album song over the last few months, Kid Hyena will be launching their album on the 23rd of August in the city they now call their home, Plymouth. Their new album brings together crowd favourites and experiences from a recent two year tour they undertook in an old motorhome before finally anchoring in the ocean city. What you can hear on the album is what you will experience live, strong lyrics with upbeat punchy songs, catchy choruses and songs that whip you off your feet with a blend of English and Spanish flavours.

Indie-folk, songwriting duo described as 'beautiful', 'dreamy' and 'trippy'.

Cat Rose & Jon Fazal are an emerging, songwriting duo based in Plymouth. Their songs have been described as ‘combining dreamy melodies with lyrics that paint pictures in your mind.’

As performers, Cat & Jon draw you in with beautifully considered harmonies and storytelling. Established on the local music scene, they have performed at notable events, festivals and venues in the South West, such as, Theatre Royal Plymouth, Barbican Theatre, Millennium Awakening and Exeter Phoenix.
