Outside Now are a five-piece experimental pop band, incorporating a myriad of musical elements from shoegaze, dream pop, R&B, progressive rock, jazz & grunge. Their debut album Dream House, released in summer 2023, provides the rough outline for a highly ambitious young group beaming with potential. Debonair guitar work, angelic vocals, powerhouse rhythm & unusual compositions provide a unique & alluring musical experience.
Ladybarn is a dynamic and eclectic three-piece band that crafts a unique fusion of jazz, instrumental groove, psych rock, grunge and dub influences to create a unique live experience. With a lineup consisting of drums, bass, guitar, and vocals, Ladybarn’s music uses creative approaches to harmony and electronic effects to showcase a vast range of sounds and timbres, effortlessly transitioning from intimate ballads to explosive and impassioned moments.
Drawing inspiration from studies in Jazz, classical composition, worldwide groove music and more, we infuse our music with complex chord progressions and improvisational elements that keep the audience engaged and captivated. Our sound is a melting pot of influences, reflecting the eclectic range of styles we’re passionate about.
Each member brings a unique flavor to our sonic palette, combining to form a harmonious fusion that takes listeners on a genre-defying exploration of live music.
Bringing a dreamy, indie edge to synth-pop, Monday Moonchild are an up and coming band in the Manchester scene ready to get you dancing with groovy hooks and good vibes alone! The evolution of Iona Hart's 2022 solo project, the band bring a burst of energy to this genre transcending, ethereal yet relatable music. Listen carefully to hear blunt and humerous lyrics but above all else a Monday Moonchild show is all about escapism, self-expression, unwavering confidence and having a good time.
At her core, Poppy Holmes is a storyteller, Her theatrical background and voracious appetite for literature allow her to peek into other worlds and tell familiar stories in a moving and unique manner. She is known for her surprising lyrics, hummable tunes and ability to explore a broad range of emotional, profound topics in an unpretentious style.
Poppy Holmes takes inspiration from an eclectic mix of artists such as Fiona Apple, Julia Jacklin, Paul Simon and The Divine Comedy. This broad range of influences amalgamates into the ambiguously vintage yet often timeless, tongue-in-cheek sound you hear today.
She has opened for bands such as Hannah Moulle and the Moullets and Kyla La Grange at Night and Day Café. She has also played various venues around Manchester such as YES Pink Room, The Rose And Monkey and Band On The Wall.
