Future Flares Festival: Movements, Sounds, Words, Feelings & Meanings workshop

Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd January 2026: 10am–1pm

Public sharing - Friday January 2026: 2.00-2.30pm

Grosvenor East Studio 1 (1.09) and Performance Studio (1.04)

Delivered over two mornings, this workshop is designed for those who have a strong desire to work with their physicality and their senses. The workshop will culminate in a public sharing of the workshop process where we will explore how the practice can lead toward performance material.

The aim is to create a supportive ensemble that feels safe to explore in ways that feel risky, visceral, live and exciting. We will work between movement, making sounds with our voices and speaking, and look to create compositions that play between these things. By developing our sense of ourselves and the playing space we will nurture our understanding of how we human beings communicate and celebrate the depths to which we can feel & find meaning in the present moment.

All participants should attend both sessions, if at all possible. Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in and bring water.
