Modo returns from it's residency at the former Bull's Head in Moseley to continue to supply their distinctive take on the deep house music scene. We are proud to announce that starting from Friday November 6th, we will be launching with a new look at the super cool Oobleck venue at Aflie Bird in the Custard Factory as the brand grows from strength to strength. To say we are excited is an understatement.

Modo has evolved to support local DJ's and up and coming talent, all bringing their unique sound to Birmingham. Our music style is distinct, just like our name suggests. Think Hot Since 82, Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and the Hot Creations crew, that draw on the rhythms, vocals and melodies of house music with a strong detroit techno, soul, jazz and even reggae influence. If you were lucky enough to attend the closing party at the Bull's Head, you know what to expect. If not, you're in for a treat, now with a bigger venue and even more exciting DJ talent to join the residents and artists we have showcased over the last 18 months.

To start of proceedings and really get us in the swing of things, we have invited back two firm favourites to join our regular resident Miguel Verde. Entrance is a mere £5 with concessions for NUS at £3. Tickets will be available or you can pay on the door. The launch begins at 11pm until late.

And so, to introduce the artists.......

FINN BELL

Finn is undoubtedly a master of the unique. His mixes are timeless and often contain tracks you have never heard of. His style is something that has certainly attracted attention with the Modo regulars, and having played for us on a few occasions previously, we thought he was the right man to start off the new era for Modo at the Oobleck. Expect a melodic masterclass.

ANDY STYLER

Andy has featured for Modo on a few occasions and has never disappointed. Bringing together his digital know-how using controllers, effects units and a music style that is best suited to the meaty section of the night. He is certain to take the reins from Finn and move it up a notch, perfectly setting up the evening to a great finish from Miguel. Expect driving sounds with a groove certain to get you party goers showing the dance floor how it's done.

MIGUEL VERDE

Miguel has been a firm foundation for us at Modo, featuring at every event to date. He is a our main resident and his style is certain to whet your appetite to just what Modo is all about. Expect a soundtrack that will take you on a journey with a deep sound encompassed with huge drops and large baselines.

As ever, Modo is committed to providing you night owl's with an alternative to the regular events available in Birmingham. We welcome those that are there to enjoy the music, let their hair down and have a good time in an uplifting and happy atmosphere.
