The Empire Project and the Northumbria KPop Dance Society are happy to you a project long in the making! An idea dreamt up since the start of the academic year, now coming true. We bring you, Newcastle's first ever night dedicated to STRICTLY KPOP & KHIPHOP! By KPop fans, FOR KPop fans.

We hope for this to be the first of many KPop focused events to come!

Northumbria's K-Pop Dance Society is all about expressing our passions and common interests through dance.

We aim to bring the Newcastle community together in appreciation of Korean culture and bridge the gap between UK and International students with our dance classes.

► Music: Strictly K-Pop and K-HipHop

► 3 DJs

► Post your song requests on the event wall and it shall be played throughout the night. 5 request limit per person!

► No Western music, EDM or cutting songs off half way through. Ever feel confused when you walk into a Kpop and oriental night and the dj is playing some western music? Or when you’re hopping along to a top track and they decide to fade it out half way through? Fucking annoying isn’t it? We do non of that shit. We pride ourselves in playing STRICTLY KPOP & KHIPHOP. What else did you come to a Kpop night for? So...NO EDM and NO WESTERN MUSIC. We are Kpop fans. Doing this for all the KPop fans out there! Let’s sesh on to the best of the best.

What do we do?

We don’t just host Top Chart and Kpop nights.

We are a group of friends with a passion for music and KPop, and we have run club nights for the last 7 years. We comprise of DJs, University Society committee members, Undergrads and Graduates. For the last 3 years, we have been helping different University societies throw K-Pop parties throughout term time.

We are Kpop fans and DJs who assist University societies and club venues into putting on their own KPop events at a time that suits them so they don’t have to rely on external promoters and their more restricted schedules and locations.

Our team is ever growing. We are like a family. And our ever growing team and new staff members comprise of committee members from many universities. We’ve helped Uni societies and clubbing venues start brand new Kpop events, as well as provide DJs for existing ones. We also take pride in training new KPop DJs that we see has shown enough passion into this career path. We also like to promote and push all Kpop events happening at the time. Cause the more the merrier, meaning meeting more like minded friendly people.
