STORMZY - MOBO Award Winner - LIVE PERFORMANCE

STORMZY is coming to Chester!!! After a winning BEST MALE & BEST GRIME ACT at this year’s MOBO awards to follow up on winning Best Grime Act at the 2014 MOBO Awards and being named as an artist to look out for in the BBC's influential Sound of 2015 list, he’s joining us the week after this years awards at The BIGGEST and BEST student night of the week!!

Performing LIVE on the middle floor, a week after we are sure he will have cleaned up at this years MOBO's, Stormzy will be performing a 30 min show with his biggest and best hits, including Shut Up, Know Me From, Wicked Skengman and his newest smash Dude.

The London-based MC with Ghanaian heritage, Stormzy launched his career clashing at youth clubs around his home town before becoming the first unsigned rapper to play Later… with Jools Holland. Having been recognised for his amazing talent Stormzy also appeared on stage with the other flame-throwing MCs who backed Kanye West at the Brits this year.

He describes himself as "a child of grime" influenced by the likes of Wiley and Skepta but evolves the form by merging their propulsive diatribes with gospel R&B and soul sounds reminiscent of Frank Ocean and Lauryn Hill, to produce his unique music. It’s no wonder Stormzy stands out from that formidable crowd.
