Ba’al, Klevt and Sorrowful joy

A night of dark post metal intensity presenting Sheffields post-black metal quintet Ba'al. Heavyweights of the UK metal scene bringing the power and raw emotion that has left audiences across the uk in awe of their live performance. Ba’al weave crushing riffs and emotive leads. Their sound takes influences from an array of heavy metal subgenres but is rooted firmly in post metal, black metal and sludge. Each song tells a story, guiding the listener on a journey through mourning, sadness and grief. Their sophomore album 'The Fine Line Between Heaven and Here’ was released this year.

Main support comes from Brighton trio Klevt, their live and studio work is trancelike and transportive. Klevt are spawned from  Brighton Punks The Frank Melena Band. Playing a minimalist barrage of filthy doom riffs and vocals ranging from harshly screamed to menacingly muttered. With hints of early Electric Wizard but also noise and psych like the Heads and a more sinuous agility of their own

Opening our ceremony is Sorrowful Joy with their new line up debut live show. A four piece non-downtuned doom band from Brighton who bring a big sense of black metal with Artemisia's vocals, alongside slow melancholy grooves serving Black Sabbath meets Popol Vuh. Blackened psych doom for those who aren't afraid to folk.
